Fhilosofhy of The Encounter
is assembled out of clippings from used copies of Louis Althusser’s memoir, "The future lasts forever". I recombined the lines from the memoir to tell the story of his wife, Hélène Rytman, killed by Althusser in 1980, from Hélène's own perspective. Echoing the concrete poetry practice, the text’s visual arrangement reflects the double exposure of Louis’s and Hélène's voices and responds to the changing emotional tone of the narrative.
A limited signed edition of 'Fhilosofhy of the Encounter' published with Pinsapo Press is available online at Pinsapo bookstore.
